xyloFUN, like many other inventions, was born out of necessity when Diana’s mom* was searching for beginner methods which were based on children composing their own music!
Diana who had just turned three wanted to play the piano so a modified lesson plan was created based on colours instead of notes. Surprisingly, the concept was not only a success with Diana, but also with students who struggled with notes and therefore lacked the desire for practicing regularly.
Of course that all changed when playing music became easy and fun because now they could not only hear, but also see the music!
We hope that this web page will bring joy to many more children, regardless of location and provide an easy to follow introduction as they start their musical journey.
We also offer additional software programs for more mature students who need a little help with the notes or chords as well. The “Little Composers” series of learning software offers a complete learning experience like no other course and we hope that you will make time to play with your children and who knows, there just might be little composers in your family too?

Our main goal was to get xyloFUN and the “Creative Children Compose Music” method out there early and let parents and educators try it out while we continue to add new features and tweaks. Once the new interface is complete, xyloFUN is destined to become the premiere tool for music education! Besides the software, there will be original compositions for our instruments and a new device that enables anyone to compose music!
