Little Composers, like many other inventions, was born out of necessity when an Edmonton music teacher/songwriter was looking for a music method based on children composing their own songs!
Her little girl who had just turned three wanted to play the piano like mom and therefore, a modified lesson plan was developed based on animals instead of notes.
Surprisingly, the concept was not only a success with Diana, but also with students who struggled with notes and therefore lacked the desire for practicing regularly.
Everything changed when learning became easy and students started to have fun because now they could not only hear, but also see the music!
Hopefully, this web page can bring joy to many more children as they start their little musical journey.

Everyone here at Little Composers.org is very excited about our next project which adds “Virtual Music Mentors” to help those new to music as they progress.
This is perhaps the largest task and every step is challenging but we know how to solve problems and improvise which means that sometime next year children and parents everywhere can interact with a truly next gen learning application!
