Frequently Asked Questions
Q: What does the word "XYLOFUN" mean and how do you pronounce it?
A: XYLOFUN is modeled from Xylophone except it ends with fun instead of phone.
Q: If I need help or require additional information, can I contact you?
A: Yes, by any means! We value feedback and do our best to augment our info pages.
Q: What browser should I use for the best viewing experience?
free here and once you come back and open one of our instrument pages, Firefox will install the Flash
plugin (by Adobe) for you and all is good to go.
Q: When I open your pages, the instruments don't show and I get an error message. Why?
A: Easy fix! While the Flash plugin is installed on almost every computer sold these days, you will
need to allow Firefox to download and install it for you.
Q: When playing your software instruments, the sound seams to be very quiet compared to
when we listen to music Cds. Why is there such a difference in volume?
A: Because our audience is age three and up and new to music (making), we chose a soft flute
sound so that the ear is not exposed to harsh noises and therefore can develop delicately.
Q: I would rather have a teacher teach my child (than myself). How can I find a teacher?
A: XYLOFUN was featured on Shaw TV and soon, music teachers across the country will include the
"creative Children Compose Music" method in their lesson plan.
Q: I teach music. Can I incorporate your software in my lessons?
A: Yes you can! Contact us for additional information we have available for those interested in
teaching the "creative Children Compose Music" method to children and seniors.
