The XYLOFUN School of Music in Vancouver teaches the "Creative Children Compose Music" method and develops educational music software for "Little Composers".
What makes the Xylofun method different from other courses is that our students compose their own lessons and then use the compositions to understand and expand
their knowledge by re arranging the music!
What do I need to get started?
The XYLOFUN learning software for children of age three and up can be used on any multimedia computer that has speakers connected so that the student can hear the sounds clearly.
Which web browser are you recommending?
We test all of our programs in the free Firefox browser and therefore suggest that using the same tools than we do will give you the best user experience. Generally, any web browser is suitable but the layout and formating will be more accurate with Firefox.Do you support computers with an "Touch Screen"?
Short answer: YES! We are very excited about this new technology because it makes playing the virtual instruments even more fun!
If I need help,can I contact you?
Of course! We are always glad to help and answer questions when needed. Simply email us and we do our best to respond as quickly as possible :) To see what others have asked, visit our F.A.Q. page and feel free to use the "Ask a Questions" form.
Now that the first wave of development is in the finishing stages, we are planning additional products as well as extend our existing software titles to make them useful for seniors as well.
Currently, we are looking for musicians who play brass and wind instruments (at an intermediate level) for an upcoming recording project that requires playing of scales and individual tones for our own custom sample library. If interested, simply contact us and tell us which instrument you play and your times of avalabillity.
